obsessions

I'm back in Utah 2 weeks from today, and I'm pretty excited. I've loved being home, but I think I'm ready to be busy and stressed. Plus, I've missed being around all my friends. I just don't have many friends back at home anymore, so it can get a bit boring.

I don't have many plans before I go back. I felt like summer was going by so slowly before, but all of the sudden it's almost over. Whatev. Life moving on only means that I have more things to experience, more people to meet, and more things to learn.

Okay, so can I just say how much I LOVE blogging? I'm obsessed. And not with writing blog posts. I'm obsessed with reading blog posts. So it's fantastic that many of my relatives are obsessed with posting (i.e. they post a lot). I use google reader and I love it, but google reader hasn't really made me check blogs less. I check google reader like 10 times a day. Yes, I realize that's excessive. But when I see a new blog post, I get so excited! It's like a birthday present. Molly is obsessed like me. If she sees a post before me, she'll say something like "Natalie!! There are new posts!! Janae AND Denise posted!!" and then I get all excited and run to the other computer. And Molly and I have a few conversations a day about different blog posts. I think blogs are so great! I love being updated on everyone's lives and getting to know everyone's personalities better. I've convinced Katie to read the blogs, but my mom just isn't convinced enough yet. I have to force her to read the really funny ones. If only she knew how great the blogging world is! Okay, I'm done expressing my obsession with blogging.

While we're on the topic of obsessions, there are a few other things I'm obsessed with. Most of my friends know these things about me, but I don't think my relatives do. So here I go. (And by the way, by obsessed I mean more than "I really like these things." I mean I feel like my life is more complete with these things. I love them. And they make me very very happy.)

1. I love lotion. I am obsessed. But not just any lotion. There is only one lotion that meets my needs. I swear, other lotion doesn't moisturize my hands. I like Vaseline Intensive Care Total Moisture lotion. It's my favorite. I love this lotion so much, it would be the #1 worldly thing I would pick to keep if I had to choose. I don't think I could live without it. I'm being serious. I probably apply lotion to my hands 15 times a day. I love Vaseline Intensive Care Total Moisture. Whoever invented it is my favorite.
2. Hairties are my little quirk, I'm a bit obsessed. I like to see how long it takes for people to notice what I do with them. Once people notice, they expect it...and are even disappointed when I don't do it. So, this is what I do. I have these hairties, over 300 of them, and I wear 2-3 on my wrist every day. I match them with my outfit. If you see me and I don't have them on and matching, there are only two possible excuses: 1) I'm exercising, or 2) I'm having a bad/off day. These hairties are special though, because they have to be a certain thickness (they just don't look cool if they're really thick or thin) and they have to fit around my wrist perfectly. And by perfectly I mean they can't be too loose, that bugs me. Usually when I take my hairties off my wrist, I have marks in my skin because they're kind of tight. But I don't really notice because I'm used to it. I love my hairties. They make me happy in my heart.

Here is a pic of my hairties from about a year ago:
I also love other things, like new socks and drinking skim milk (especially right before bedtime).

And this is the end of this post. Goodbye, all. For now.

You are such a crack up, Natalie!! I have a favorite lotion too, although its not the same kind. I have mild eczema and during one of my more irritating bouts I went to Walmart and got pretty much every single kind of lotion they had to see if any of them helped (and didn't leave me greasy - I hate that). Well, I only found one kind I liked: Curel Original Formula. Not the extra super amazing kinds or the scented. Just the regular old stuff. I love, love, love it!!

You make me laugh! I swear, every time I eat a popsicle I still think of you and your wood aversion. You just crack me up! And tell me what this google reader thing is. Maybe I need to get the hook up!
