I can't believe student teaching ends next Thursday. On that Friday (the 11th), I have my exit interview and observe another student teacher in the afternoon and then I'm done. I officially graduate on the 18th. Student teaching was fantastic.
I'm still looking for a job. I hate how much uncertainty there is in my life right now. And yet, I am grateful for this time of my life because I realize that too often I am wishing days away and then I want them back. Life is pretty good.
For Thanksgiving break I went up to Canada. It was a long, long drive...but surprisingly not miserable. The people in the car made the trip quite enjoyable. It was my first time out of the country which was kind of exciting. One of my best friends, Nichelle (I blogged about her last year), got married and I went up for her wedding since I was a bridesmaid. Hopefully I'll get some pictures soon and I'll post them. It was so great to see her (especially since I don't know when or if I'll see her again). I bonded a lot with her family as well and basically the whole trip was amazing even though I got no sleep and was in the car for a total of like 40 hours between Wednesday and Sunday. I'm so excited for Nichelle. She is so happy.
I've been going to all the basketball games (with Jenna) which has been a lot of fun. I love BYU basketball! If you want to see some pictures from the games, check out my sister's blog. They are scattered among the many other pictures she has taken recently. Unfortunately, I am a terrible picture taker (I think I've taken maybe 10 pictures since September, and they are all the ones posted on this blog. I probably wouldn't have taken them except I feel a need to add pictures when I post). Anyway, this Saturday BYU plays San Francisco at the Energy Solutions Arena in SLC. Jenna and I were able to get 3rd row tickets and were invited to a free luncheon before the game put on by Cougar United! Yay for life.
Recently I signed up for a bunch of clubs at different restaurants and stuff so I can get free stuff on my birthday. I'm excited for the coupons to come soon!
I fly home on December 12. That's next Saturday. I can't believe how time has flown. Life is speeding by...still.

you have an exciting life. enjoy the drama. boring is much worse. :o) I'm glad you are going to basketball games. They were our favorite when we were there.
And mostly, im excited for you to come home in a week and a half!!!!
So did you decide against Heber (which, parenthetically, I love)? I heard they offered you a position, but only if you started right away. Good luck in the search! And congrats on graduation!
Janae- actually, I called and accepted the job, but later that afternoon they called me and said that the funding for the job didn't go through so they couldn't hire me. It was pretty much awful. But I trust that the Lord's hand is in my life so I will just keep looking.
Lucky you for going to Canada. I'm super jealous. The wedding sounded like it was lots of fun-i'm glad! I can't wait to see you!!!
When is your birthday? I guess I should check FB... so how long will you be home? We are sticking around for the holidays and will have some free time while Davis and Savanna are on break. We'd love to come visit your family! Email or call!
Sad that student teaching is over. I am glad you had a good experience. I hope you are safely home now--enjoy your break!
