um, it's been forever and a day

I swear, it was February 15th like last week. I didn't even realize it was April. So I missed March. Yes, I am a slacker. But I also have a boring life, so just be happy I spared you the boring details.

Okay, so I'm about to finish school for the rest of my life. I guess I don't technically graduate until December, but I'm student teaching in the fall, so I have 7 days of classes left for the rest of my life. Sort of exciting, sort of depressing. I love BYU! How is my BYU life over? I even like classes and homework, not gonna lie. I'm thinking about possibly taking a 1 credit religion class during my student teaching just so I can keep my connection with BYU and pretend I'm still in school.

So I'm going home for the entire summer (end of April--end of August) and I've been working on trying to get a job but it's not working incredibly well. I really really need money, so I'm still hoping I'll come across something. I'm going to try to substitute teach until the end of school back home, because that would give me about 2 months of work.

So as I mentioned, I'm going to be student teaching in the fall. I'll be at my uncle Dave's school (Oak Canyon Junior High) in Lindon, Utah. I'm really excited because I want to teach at a junior high and Dave's school is really nice.

I'm in Dance 280 right now with my little sister Jenna. Since we're in 280, we had to learn a choreographed dance to perform at one of the dance labs. So we performed last Thursday. It was actually super fun and reminded me of my high school show choir days. I had a really good time and enjoyed performing.

This year, my calling has been FHE group leader, or "FHE mom." My groups have been really great and we've done some pretty fun stuff. So anyway, recently my ward did a combined FHE movie night. We had to make movies for the event. The only guidance they gave us was to depict some type of journey to finding some type of treasure. Somehow I turned into the girl lead in our video. Basically because I was willing to do it and no one else wanted to. But I had fun with it. Our video is a little weird, but I thought I'd post it for your viewing pleasure :). [Have your sound up. It's better that way. Also, by the way, the video is intentionally really awkward.]

Don't worry...soon you will be all educated and adorable and precious. Not that you aren't already are. And you will be married and have little adorable children with adorable names. And it will be precious. And maybe you will have some virtual pets, too. Um, okay I'm done.

haha! I loved the movie! you are quite the actress, and dancer! whoever filmed the movie is a talented filmmaker! so fun and deliciously awkward!

the one thing I didn't get was when the ring came out of his mouth. is there something to that?

yeah, steph, i didn't really understand that part either. the guy who filmed us kind of us told us what to do and we did it. we figured the more awkward and random, the better. so..yeah. no explanation there.

First off, I can't believe you are almost done. And how awesome that you are doing your student teaching at Uncle Dave's school. That's pretty cool. When it comes to the video...it totally made me laugh. My kids loved it too. The best part was when you guys were dancing and he passed out and the music stopped and my one-year-old started clapping. :) Good times.

First, I could NEVER think your life is boring. Heck, I blog about dishes and laundry. Yeah. I know. I'm excited for you to be done and come out here! :) And yay for student teaching at Dave's school. That's awesome. The video was great. Whoever your videographer was did an awesome job! Sometime I wish I could direct my children a little more, but they don't really cooperate when I try to do cool shots. :) You're quite the dancer, too. So sad that I didn't get those genes!

Ok, I love the video. That is hilarious! My favorite part was the face of the awkward guy after you guys rejected him and he was sitting on the side. Awesome.

What a cute video. Loved when he was being dragged up the stairs! I am so excited for you to student teach! And at Dave's school too! I hope your cooperating teacher is good to work with, because mine wasn't really around to give me advice or feedback. Good luck with everything, and enjoy your summer at home!
