What you do when there is nothing to do

Once upon a time, I was left alone for 3 solid days while my entire family (mom, dad, sister, cousin) went to Kirtland, OH for Youth Conference.

With no work and very few friends, I have had 72 hours to myself. With very little human interaction. (It has felt like a LOT longer than 72 hours.)

These are some of the things I have done:
  • go to the gym every day
  • see a cute boy at the gym and secretly wish he was Mormon and that I had the guts to go talk to him
  • watch like 8 disney shows a day (thank you Molly and iTunes)
  • watch a movie a day
  • check facebook 15 times a day
  • check email 15 times a day
  • check google reader 15 times a day
  • clean, clean, clean, clean, clean, clean, and clean some more (as a surprise for the family, of course)
  • cook muffins...yum, yum
  • get myself invited over to a friend's house for dinner
  • get myself invited over to another friend's house to watch the disney premiere of "Princess Protection Program" because I think I might go insane if I don't interact with other humans
  • talk to Katie on the phone 5 times a day
  • force my only unmarried friend to sleepover one night
  • spend hours reading IMDB
  • get scared one night and lock the dead-bolt of the front door, only to find out the next day that the dead-bolt is broken and I can't get back into the house (thank goodness for the garage)
  • read the entire Ensign and New Era
  • spend over an hour reading random recipes online
Can I just say....YAY that my family is FINALLY coming home tonight!

It is SO hard to be all on your own. I'm glad to see you've survived.

You are so funny! I loved your list! So, was Princess Protection Program any good? (Seriously, I want to know!)

I have Princess Protection Program recorded on my DVR, but I haven't had time to watch it. I am glad your family is coming home, but at least you got to hang out with a few friends, and talk on the phone, right? :)

Hi! Thanks for commenting. It reminded me to add you to my friends list. :)

Oh and I love your previous post "confession" about being obsessed. I think we have a lot in common. I'm just afraid that when I return to BYU this fall I will forget to study if I'm checking so many blogs!

janae- it was actually pretty good. not as good as HSM, of course, but it was a cute movie. i liked it.

shalynna- i actually used reading blogs as part of my "self-reward" system. see, you tell yourself that if you do a certain amount of HW, then you can read blogs. its a serious motivation tool. :)
