quick update

A quick update--

I'm feeling much better overall. The biopsies came back positive for Crohn's disease. So I've been officially diagnosed. Basically the deal with Crohn's is that your immune system is TOO strong. It fights and fights off bad things, but then it doesn't know when to stop fighting. So it will keep fighting and will start attacking my body. But it's a manageable disease. With Crohn's, I won't have pain all the time. There will be flare ups (I'm not sure how often or how long they will last). So I was put on a medicine called Asacol. The good thing about Asacol is that is has few side effects. The bad thing about it is that I have to take it often-- 2 pills, 4 times a day (breakfast, lunch, dinner, bedtime). Luckily, pills don't bother me. It's just 8 more to add to the list. ;)

Okay, so here is my exciting news!! I bought a car! It's a white '03 Mazda Protege. I love it even though I haven't actually seen it. It's sitting in Sandy, UT in my Grandma Smith's garage. I paid for it all up front so I have no debt and enough savings left. I got a really good deal on the car thanks to Ole's help. Yay! Here are a few pictures of the car that my sister Jenna took for me and texted to me. I'm going to get personalized license plates that say "CHATTIE" since "chattienatti" is what I use for everything (blog, email, usernames, etc.) and it's kind of become...ME.

So excited!!!

My roommate has Crohn's disease. She just found out a few months ago. The pills have helped her a lot, so hopefully you continue to get better!
Your car looks beautiful! I had a protege for awhile and it was a great car! Congrats!
And good job at staying out of debt. What a blessing!

Bummer about Crohn's disease. I'm glad it's manageable. I hope the pills help you. And yay about the car! I remember getting our first car (we still have it). We paid in cash too, and that feels awesome! Good work!

Gosh, that stinks about the Crohn's disease! But, at least it is pretty managable, right? I hope it gets better for you and I am glad to hear you are already starting to feel better!
I really like your new car! It is so cute! The lisence plate idea is perfect ;-) haha!

Another cousin with Crohns disease huh? That's really sad. Good luck with all those pills. You sure are having a good attitude about this. And congrats on the car. We have a silver Protege and we have really like ours.

Super happy news about the car! That'll cheer up your days for sure! I hope that everything goes well with Crohns --- I'm so sorry. But you sound very upbeat about it, so I'm impressed.
